PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour variable shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Contract end day is Sunday, not Saturday
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float requirement to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry monitoring
• Patient population includes stable and weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke cases
• Primary insulin drip management required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required - firm requirement
• Stepdown, intermediate, or PCU experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator and trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of facility
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
