ED Registered Nurse Job in Lansing, Michigan

Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 105-day travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026, offering 3x12-hour night shifts at $2,177.28 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a Level I trauma facility, managing patient ratios of 1:4–7 on night shift and up to 1:8 during high-volume periods. You will treat patients across all age groups—infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—and may float to the pediatric emergency department as needed.

Core Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
• Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation under physician direction
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation
• Provide nursing care with no on-call responsibilities

Scheduling

You will work 12-hour night shifts with weekend coverage required. The schedule includes 3 weekends (Friday through Sunday) per 4-week cycle; you may be assigned 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend. Pre-approved time off must be submitted at the time of assignment submission. No additional time off will be approved after submission. Time off is not permitted October 31 or December 18–28.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Level I trauma facility experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications
• Valid Michigan nursing license (compact license not accepted)

Preferred Qualifications

• Continuous IV and procedural sedation administration experience
• Triage experience
• ENPC certification
