Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6; beds are capped to ensure RNs do not exceed 6 patients
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Must float to all campuses as needed for patient care
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Unit specializes in general surgical patients, pre-op and post-op care, medical overflow (excluding true cardiac), with BiPAP and drip capabilities
• Remote telemetry monitoring capabilities on unit
• CNA support and Unit Secretary available
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• All RNs required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam; two attempts allowed
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, heparin, high flow nasal cannula, insulin protocols, IV insulin, interpretation of dysrhythmias, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and more
