ICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will provide direct patient care in an intensive care setting at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This position requires a current, valid RN license and a minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience, with specialty experience within the past 12 months.

Requirements:

• Stroke experience required
• NIHSS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Current RN license in Arizona

Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive patient assessments across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural dimensions. You will review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers. You will formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and the medical plan of care.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop realistic and measurable patient goals. You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. As needed, you will delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel.

You will evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed. You will maintain timely, accurate, and legible documentation of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records. Your care will be based on best available evidence, and you will participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives.

Assignment Details:

• Shift: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Duration: 89 days
• Start date: October 5, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,434

A bachelor's degree is preferred. Professional certification is preferred.
