ICU RN Job in Muncie, IN

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. This is an 84-day travel assignment beginning September 23, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call duties
• Weekly pay: $2,089

Unit Details

You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a 14–18 census unit with 18 beds. Patient diagnoses span adult surgical, neuro, and trauma populations. Your patient ratio will be 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends. You may float within IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed.

Clinical Responsibilities

Your required skills include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation administration, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, blood product administration, PICC line management, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) delivery.

Requirements

• Active Indiana state RN license (must be in hand before submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• 3 years of nursing experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• 36 orientation hours provided
