ED RN Job in Hopewell, VA

TriCities Hospital in Hopewell, VA is hiring a travel RN for the Emergency Department. This 91-day assignment runs from September 21, 2026, offering a 3x12 night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) at $2,049.84 per week.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Perform emergency procedures including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrests, IV insertions, EKGs, pacemaker interrogation, Code Stroke protocol, Code Sepsis protocol, and suture/abscess setup
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients with strong IV skills
• Document using Meditech (EDM) EMR system
• Work with Phillips & GE Monitors and Level 1 Rapid Infuser equipment
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, nights only
• Every other weekend required, including at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday within a 4-week schedule
• No on-call required
• May float to the FSED location approximately 15 minutes away

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trauma experience
• TNCC certification
• Meditech experience
