ED RN Job in Hopewell, VA

TriCities Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for its Emergency Department in Hopewell, VA. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), beginning October 12, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,049.84.

Role Overview

You will manage a patient ratio of 1:4 and perform a full range of emergency nursing duties, including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrest response, IV insertions, EKGs, pacemaker interrogation, Code Stroke and Code Sepsis protocols, and suture and abscess setup. You will work with both adult and pediatric patients, requiring strong IV skills and excellent communication abilities.

Equipment and Systems

• Phillips and GE monitoring systems
• Level 1 Rapid Infuser equipment
• Meditech (EDM) electronic medical records

Required Certifications and Skills

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certification
• Strong IV skills for diverse patient populations
• Trauma experience and TNCC certification are preferred
• Prior Meditech experience is preferred

Schedule Details

You will work every other weekend, including at least one Friday and one Monday per 4-week cycle. No on-call duties are required. You may float to an FSED location approximately 15 minutes away as needed.

Facility Information

TriCities Hospital is your primary assignment site. Dress code requires a teal top with black or teal bottoms.
