Job Details:

• Mixed daylight and evening shifts consisting of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts per week, or three 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM) per week
• Every other weekend or every third weekend coverage required based on departmental needs
• Estimated 12 hours per week with 3 working days per week
• Independently perform computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration
• Adjust protocols using independent judgment and apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT purposes
• Utilize complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data
• Demonstrate proper venipuncture technique and proper use of power injector according to set protocols
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to contrast media administration
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history, assess physician orders, and document patient history in electronic record as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are accurately entered
• Cardiovascular (CV) experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program required
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or date of hire
• Required certifications and licenses: ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), Basic Life Support (BLS), PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
