PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No call required
• Float between all campuses as needed
• 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Must have experience with PCU patient ratios of 1:5
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
• Peripheral line care and management required
• PICC line management required
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips required
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• High flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
• IV insulin protocol management
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Wound care and wound vac experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Self-scheduling unit with a daily census of 30 patients across 35 beds
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Primary patient population includes stroke backup, renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and hematological disorders
