Physical Therapist

Opportunity:

PT - Outpatient

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour shifts per week with Tuesdays off
• Outpatient physical therapy setting within an acute care environment
• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and screenings
• Develop individualized plans of care with functional goals for patients
• Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions and evaluate patient response to treatment, modifying plan as necessary
• Document the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment
• Provide patient and/or family education to help achieve goals
• Complete accurate billing by the end of each shift meeting all regulatory requirements
• Assist with orientation of new staff as requested
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
• Assist with Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student program
• Must be able to lift and transfer patients and equipment, and ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and crouch
• Graduate of an APTA approved four-year bachelor's degree program or foreign equivalent required
• Current PT license through the AZ Board of Physical Therapy required
• Recent experience working with adult and geriatric population required
• Experience serving people with physical disabilities is desirable
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Required certification: BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
• Client may call off or cancel up to one shift per two weeks
