ICU RN Job in Gilbert, Arizona

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona. This is a full-time position on a 3x12 day shift schedule for an 89-week duration, beginning November 16, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a dynamic ICU setting, managing complex patient needs and collaborating with an experienced healthcare team. Your role includes comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and discharge planning dimensions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for ICU patients
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural considerations
• Review patient history and physical examination with patients and families within appropriate timeframes
• Monitor diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care with discharge planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records
• Participate in education and orientation of facility personnel
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel in quality care delivery

Requirements

• Current valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting
• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in specialty area
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to unexpected patient care needs
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred

Compensation and Schedule

Weekly pay is $2,434. The assignment accommodates a varied work schedule with opening availability in the ICU.
