PCU RN Job in Dallas, TX

Join Medical City Dallas as a Registered Nurse in our 16-bed Progressive Care Unit. This travel position offers you the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a structured, supportive environment where you'll develop and refine your clinical skills.

Role Overview

You will work as part of a well-staffed nursing team caring for progressive care patients. Each shift is structured with one charge nurse, four floor nurses, and two technicians to support patient care delivery. Your primary responsibility will be managing a patient ratio of 1:4, allowing you to deliver individualized attention and comprehensive care management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to a 1:4 assigned patient population
• Document and manage all patient care using the Meditech EMR system
• Provide float coverage to medical/surgical and PCU units as assigned
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Communicate with charge nurse and leadership regarding patient status and unit needs

Schedule and Duration

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 15, 2026. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), with four weekend shifts required per your schedule rotation. Night shift call-ins must be made before 5:00 PM when unable to report to work.

Requirements

• Current RN license (valid in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required
• ACLS certification
• Reliable transportation and professional availability

Additional Details

You will be required to wear royal blue scrubs during your shifts. This position is based at Medical City Dallas, a full-service medical facility. Weekly pay is $1,661.
