Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the acute medical-surgical unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. This is a 119-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, offering $2,070 weekly pay.

Schedule & Expectations

• Three 12-hour shifts per week, day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6 on both day and night rotations

Unit Details

• Telemetry is monitored on a separate unit
• Floating required to all acute care and cardiology units for medical patients, or to emergency care for acute care patient holds
• Nurse aides and CNAs available at a ratio of 1:8 to 1:10; may serve as sitters when needed
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• EMR system: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience with at least 1 travel assignment
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification (American Heart Association)
• BSN not required

Residency Requirement

You must reside within a strict 75-mile radius of the hospital. Your driver's license address will be verified to confirm compliance with this requirement.
