Telemetry RN Job in Redding, CA

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment on a 22-bed telemetry neuro unit. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule). This role offers no call or standby requirements and self-scheduling available by seniority with schedules made 3 weeks in advance.

Patient care responsibilities:

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:3–4 on the telemetry neuro unit
• Care for patients with stroke, TIA, seizure, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and mixed medical telemetry conditions
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and pass dysrhythmia exam
• Manage titratable drips including Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and DKA protocols
• Operate respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Float to IMCU (2West) or Med/Surg departments as needed

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• 2–3 years experience in specialty (first-time travelers welcome)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• COVID vaccination required
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Facility details:

• Uses Cerner EMR for documentation
• One shift unit-specific orientation provided
• Navy scrubs required
• Holiday work integrated into permanent staff rotation
• Focus on bedside shift report, patient experience, HCAHPS, and stroke core measures

Compensation: $2,617.92 weekly. Assignment begins November 17, 2026.
