Telemetry RN Job in Oxnard, CA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in a float pool position across two facilities located 9 miles apart. This role offers 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with every-other-weekend scheduling and no block assignments.

Your responsibilities include:

• Caring for telemetry patients at a 1:4 ratio, med-surg patients at 1:5, and DOU patients at 1:3
• Reading telemetry strips on Phillips monitors with monitor tech support available
• Managing drips including amiodarone, cardizem, and heparin (non-titrating)
• Supporting patients on BiPAP or CPAP; no ventilator experience required at your primary site
• Floating between telemetry, med-surg, DOU, and potentially ER for med-surg and telemetry holds
• Charting in Cerner EMR

Patient population includes: pneumonia, end-stage renal disease, post-cath lab patients, respiratory distress, CHF, COPD, post-surgical, orthopedic, and cardiac patients. You'll work in a primary care nursing environment with limited resources; expect to be very busy.

Support and scheduling: 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available. Weekend requirement includes 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. You must observe one major and one minor holiday during your assignment.

Requirements: Minimum 2–3 years nursing experience; travel experience preferred. Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required. You must be able to read telemetry strips, manage the drips listed above, and work independently with limited support staff. Chest tube experience preferred.

What we offer: Weekly pay of $1,932. Shift runs 91 days starting November 9, 2026. Wear navy scrubs.
