ED RN Job in Hastings, NE

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of November 9, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Work 3x12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift times include 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, 1:00 PM–1:00 AM, or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirements include one winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) and one summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day)
• No on-call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• Weekly pay: $2,298

Role Responsibilities

• Treat approximately 40 patients per day with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 3–4:1
• Manage common diagnoses including abdominal pain, falls, and chest pain, with approximately 20% pediatric volume
• Administer drips including antibiotics, cardiac medications, Heparin, TPA, and insulin
• Read cardiac monitor strips independently using Phillips monitors
• Perform 12-lead EKGs in collaboration with CNAs, EMTs, paramedics, and LPNs
• Draw labs in combination with phlebotomy, particularly when starting IVs
• Transport patients on cardiac monitoring (requires ACLS certification)
• Use EPIC charting system

Requirements and Experience

• Current RN license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS or ENPC
• Preferably 3 or more years of emergency department experience
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and assessment skills

• Gray scrubs provided by the facility
• Orientation consists of approximately 3 shifts with another nurse
