ED Registered Nurse Job in Hebron, NE

Thayer County Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Hebron, Nebraska. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule with weekend rotation.

About the Role:

• Provide direct nursing care including observation, assessment, and documentation of patient signs and symptoms
• Prepare, administer, and document medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous) using barcode scanning within the electronic health system
• Monitor IV insertion sites, flow rates, and discontinue IVs as ordered
• Assist in planning, providing, and evaluating patient care as part of the nursing team
• Perform emergency room nursing procedures and therapeutic treatments
• Record and transcribe physician orders accurately
• Maintain complete, accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA
• Assist in training and orientation of new employees
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs, committees, and educational workshops

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current valid state nursing license
• Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE
• Strong communication skills

Assignment Details:

• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: November 23, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,244
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
