ED RN Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. You'll work 3 shifts per week on nights, with options including 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3:00 PM–3:00 AM, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM, or 7:00 AM–7:00 PM depending on facility needs. Every other weekend is required. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,382.

Role Requirements

• 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, and HSS Team (workplace violence training)
• BSN not required

What You'll Do

• Care for patients of all ages presenting with common diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health, sepsis, and stroke
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4–5 based on acuity
• Administer drips including antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, and emergency medications
• Utilize TeleHealth services with a focus on purposeful rounding
• No floating requirements—you stay in the ED

• Charting system: EPIC
• IV pump system: Alaris
• Charge nurse present on each shift
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Block scheduling is difficult to guarantee; leadership creates the schedule based on facility needs

Dress Code and Policies

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments
