Telemetry RN Job in Chesapeake, VA

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position on a 28-bed Medical-Surgical unit specializing in post-operative care. You will work with patients recovering from orthopedic, spinal, bariatric, and colorectal surgery, as well as Level III trauma patients and medical-surgical overflow as census permits.

Role Details:

• 4x12 day shift schedule (3x12 options available; indicate preference at submission)
• Typical patient ratio of 1:7
• Unit capability to monitor up to 8 telemetry patients
• Overtime paid after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
• Every other weekend, floating, and holidays required within contract term
• Must work two of three winter holidays

Required Qualifications:

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum two years recent relevant nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency in Epic (no exceptions)
• BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association
• EKG testing: must score 80% or higher (one attempt only; no remediation available)

Interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. You will be part of a collaborative care environment serving diverse patient populations.
