Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 3 days per week scheduled
• 12 estimated hours per week
• Independently perform MRI imaging procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for diagnostic purposes
• Practice and maintain MR safety standards within the department
• Maintain clinical competency for all exams and equipment
• Perform procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving imaging data
• Read and present all relevant patient information to the physician based on protocol prior to exam start
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results
• Document patient history in electronic record as required
• Administer contrast including labeling and preparation as needed
• Communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help alleviate patient concerns
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are adequately entered
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry required
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire
• Required certifications and licenses: ARRT Certificate or ARMRIT or NMTC or ARDMS, BLS, PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
