MRI Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at Southwest – UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work 3 days per week on 12-hour day shifts, averaging 36 hours weekly at a weekly pay rate of $2,963. Your assignment begins September 13, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Independently perform MRI imaging procedures using independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for diagnostic purposes
• Practice and maintain MR safety standards within the department
• Maintain clinical competency for all exams and equipment
• Review, process, and archive imaging data according to departmental protocols
• Review and present all relevant patient information to the physician based on protocol prior to exam start
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results
• Administer contrast including labeling, preparation, and documentation in the electronic health record
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, and networked for archiving and interpretation
• Communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner to help allay fears and solicit cooperation

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years of MRI experience
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry
• Current certification: ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73 compliance
