ICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a registered nurse for our Intensive Care Unit. You will work a 3x12 day shift schedule, earning $2,434 weekly over an 89-day assignment beginning October 26, 2026.

About the Role

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for ICU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs, and discharge planning
• Reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulating and implementing individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical orders
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop realistic, measurable patient goals
• Delegating and supervising activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel
• Evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Maintaining timely, accurate, and legible documentation in patient records
• Providing evidence-based care and participating in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Stroke experience required
• NIHSS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience, with specialty area experience within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
