Telemetry RN Job in Greensboro, NC

Cone Health - The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a telemetry position on a 30-bed unit with a daily census of 16. You'll work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend with holidays as needed. A patient ratio of 6:1 applies across days, nights, and weekends. Float coverage across all facilities may be required when census is down.

Patient Population and Responsibilities

• Adult and geriatric patients with observation, respiratory, general medical/surgical, palliative, end-of-life, hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetes, and surgical diagnoses
• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team participation
• BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, and surgical drain care
• Colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, and wound care/wound vac
• Peripheral and PICC line management, IV insertion and maintenance, oral suctioning, and nasal cannula delivery
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance, pre/post hemodialysis management, and renal failure care

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed; study materials not provided)
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Support and Orientation

You'll receive 48 hours of orientation. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
