MRI Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

You will work as an MRI Technologist at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rochester, New York. This is a local position for candidates already in the area.

Position Details

• Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM EST
• 89-day assignment
• 5x8 shift schedule
• Weekly pay: $2,827

Your Responsibilities

• Operate MRI machines efficiently and safely, with hands-on GE scanner experience
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort and compliance
• Insert IVs when necessary for contrast injection procedures
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging and ensure timely results
• Document all procedures while maintaining strict patient confidentiality
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Stand for extended periods during your shift
• Apply medical terminology accurately in daily work

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• GE scanner experience required
• Injection certification required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• New York State Rad Tech license required (you may obtain this after starting)
• Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology required

Holidays will be scheduled per unit needs. Local candidates only—you must be based in or relocating to the Rochester area.
