Physical Therapist Job in Whitehall, WI

Gundersen Tri-County Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient-focused role in Whitehall, Wisconsin. This position offers stable, predictable scheduling with 5x8 day shifts and no float, on-call, or mandatory weekend or holiday commitments.

Role Overview

You will deliver physical therapy services primarily in an outpatient setting, with occasional inpatient and swingbed cases (less than 10% of your caseload). Your typical day includes 9–10 patient visits, each scheduled for 45-minute appointments. Variable start times will be based on patient cases, requiring scheduling flexibility. You will bill hours Monday through Sunday and receive an 8-hour unbilled orientation period to become familiar with the facility and team.

Schedule & Compensation

You will work guaranteed set hours per week across your 5x8 day shifts, excluding holiday closures. There is no requirement to rotate holidays or weekends, though you may pick up additional shifts if desired. Weekly pay is $2,942 for a 91-day contract beginning November 2, 2026.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient or inpatient physical therapy experience; both are preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate in physical therapy
• Active Wisconsin PT License
• AHA BLS certification
• New graduates are not considered for this position

Work Environment

Attire is business casual or a solid maroon top with black bottoms. The facility maintains a supportive clinical environment focused on outpatient rehabilitation services.
