Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work as an RN on a 14-bed acute medical-surgical unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day travel assignment starting June 2, 2026, with 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) on an every-other-weekend rotation.

Patient Care & Clinical Duties

• Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients with diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleeds, renal failure, dialysis patients, post-surgical overflow, amputations, wound care, DVTs, ETOH, and psychiatric conditions
• Administer medications including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin
• Operate CPAP and BiPAP equipment
• Document in MEDITECH charting system
• Work in a primary care nursing model
• May float to other acute care and cardiology units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced environments with high turnover
• ACLS certification preferred but not required

Facility Requirements

• Must live within a strict 75-mile radius of the facility
• Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs (top and bottom), white top with Caribbean Blue bottom, or all white
• Natural nails only with polish allowed—no artificial or shellac nails
• No bags at the nurses station; lockers with personal locks available
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
• Strict attendance policy enforced

Compensation

You'll earn $2,102.40 per week. This assignment offers the stability of a defined duration with the flexibility of travel healthcare.
