Emergency Room RN Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. You will work 3x12-hour shifts on a rotating day, night, and weekend/holiday schedule, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct triage assessments and assign priority of care using ESI triage standards
• Perform primary and secondary patient assessments for patients of all age groups
• Deliver high quality, compassionate emergency care using invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions
• Manage both life-threatening and routine emergency situations
• Assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and their families
• Collaborate with the care team to provide direct patient care, apply appropriate interventions, and evaluate patient progress
• Identify and document deviations from normal and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families on post-emergency care and discharge instructions
• Maintain patient communication boards and provide frequent updates throughout the ED visit

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience as an RN
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department hospital experience as an RN
• Current New York State RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification/NIHSS (AHA or RQI)

This 152-week assignment begins October 5, 2026. You will earn $2,268 per week.
