PCU RN Job in Denton, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 25-bed Progressive Care Unit at Medical City Denton. This is a travel position with a 91-day contract starting September 21, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• $1,708.20 weekly

Role and Responsibilities

You will care for stroke patients, cardiac drip patients, those on continuous BiPAP support, and post-procedure patients. Your duties include emergent thoracentesis, telemetry monitoring, and bedside patient care with a standard ratio of 4:1, flexing to 5:1 during staffing shortages.

Unit Environment

The unit is located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building. The night shift team consists of 1 charge RN, 6 staff RNs, and 3 PCTs. You will work with equipment including BiPAP, restraints, Airvo, seizure precautions, bedside monitoring systems, and telemetry. The facility uses Meditech as its electronic medical records system.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Preceptor experience
• Charge nurse experience
