Occupational Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday with no weekend requirements unless making up hours when a holiday falls during the week
• No on-call responsibilities
• 1 year of OTA experience required
• Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience required
• Active Missouri OTA license required
• New graduates acceptable with Level II fieldwork experience (Level I observation experience not sufficient)
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders
• Work under supervision and direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Administer various procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in electronic documentation system
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers and other service providers
• Maintain adherence to NBCOT/AOTA and state required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
