ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work in the Emergency Department caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient ratio of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, triage, and starting and maintaining IVs
• If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• GA or Compact nursing license required
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all time off must be finalized at time of submission
