Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
• Inject and administer all radiopharmaceuticals with proper assaying and calculations
• Calculate volume and activity concentrations for radiopharmaceuticals per protocol
• Enter dose records in tracking system and perform laboratory procedures
• Position patients on equipment according to established protocols and procedures
• Monitor patients during nuclear medicine procedures
• Perform intravenous (IV) access with appropriate site selection and aseptic techniques
• Operate all nuclear medicine instrumentation devices including gamma cameras, SPECT, PET, and radiation detectors
• Conduct quality control requirements for all equipment used
• Apply radiation safety regulations and procedures diligently
• Work Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays
• Must have 1+ years of nuclear medicine experience
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NMTCB
• Must hold ARRT (N) or NMTCB registration or equivalent
• Skills checklist current within one year and two supervisory references within last two years required
