ED Registered Nurse Job in Tucson, Arizona

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a travel assignment. This is a 91-day contract beginning November 3, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)
• Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 48-hour guarantee available
• Weekly Pay: $2,216

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in compliance with Arizona Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning safe patient care delivery
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience levels
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
• Willingness to float to support departmental needs

Requirements

• Current Arizona nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• NIH certification recommended but not required
