Telemetry RN Job in Salisbury, NC

Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its cardiac telemetry unit. You'll care for adults in a primary cardiac and stroke unit, managing patients with unstable angina, low-risk chest pain evaluation, CHF, dysrhythmias, new CVA and TIA, and pre- and post-care for pacemaker implantation, implanted cardioverter defibrillators, cardiac catheterization, and TR bands.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM), Friday–Sunday schedule
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Duration: 91 days; 13–26 week contracts accepted
• Weekly pay: $2,053
• Start date: November 2, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient ratios of 1:5–6; must be comfortable taking up to 6 patients during surge
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; provide non-invasive airway management
• Perform IV starts, central line care, peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Support pre- and post-procedure cardiac patients and post-MI care
• Float within or near facility as needed
• Participate in self-scheduling with leadership oversight
• On-call availability with frequency based on patient census

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with similar ratios and acuity
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in telemetry, cardiac drips, high-flow nasal cannula, and dysrhythmia management
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start
• Epic charting experience preferred
• First-time travelers and local candidates accepted

Unit Information

• Fast-paced environment with 78–90 patient turnover per week
• Systems: Pyxis, Dimensions (Epic), and SBAR communication
• Team lead support for admissions and discharges
• Interdisciplinary support: physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response, and pharmacy
• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs, Novant t-shirts permitted daily, matching jackets required (no fleece or crocs with holes)
