Med Surg RN Job in Augusta, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in a float pool position across medical-surgical and medical-surgical telemetry units at Piedmont Augusta Hospital. This role offers variety as you provide care across multiple departments within the facility, with the possibility of floating to a sister campus approximately 3 miles away.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours, days, with every other weekend required (averaging 6 weekends per 13-week contract)
• Pay: $1,662 weekly
• Duration: 84 days
• Start date: November 9, 2026

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care nursing to adult and geriatric patients across all Med/Surg diagnoses and Med/Surg Telemetry cases
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose monitoring
• Work in units with limited ancillary support
• Use Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR charting systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Georgia or Compact nursing license
• Advanced Epic experience (hard requirement)
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Holiday coverage required—work all major holidays if one or two fall during your assignment; work two if three fall during your assignment. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• No on-call requirements
