Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may vary based on need
• Floating to other units may be required based on census needs
• Care for 5-6 med-surgical, non-monitored patients per shift with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on both day and night shifts
• Specialize in Vascular and Urology patient population with overflow from General Surgery, Women's Specialty, and Medicine
• Receive patients from PACU, ICU transfers, and ED; average patient length of stay is 1-2 days
• Perform dressing changes and provide care for patients with wound vacs and drains
• Must have Urology and Vascular experience
• Must be Med Surg/Tele experienced for floating purposes
• Must be able to pass an EKG exam as part of pre-start modules
• Skilled in accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, PCA, PICC line management, continuous bladder irrigation, pre/post hemodialysis management, and wound care/wound vac
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
