PCU Registered Nurse Job in Maryville, TN

Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026, with 3x12 night shifts at $2,029 weekly.

Position Overview

You will care for adult patients in a 24-bed unit with a typical daily census of 15. Your patient ratio will be 3:1 across day, night, and weekend shifts. You will be required to work every other weekend and may float to other units where you have demonstrated and documented competencies.

Required Experience and Credentials

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience (no first-time travelers)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

Core Clinical Skills

You should be proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP delivery, blood product administration, central line care and management, chest tube management, heparin protocols, high-flow nasal cannula, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition and management, IV insulin protocols, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, tracheostomy care and management, care of ventilated patients, wound care and wound vac management, and rapid response and code team participation.
