Job Details:

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
• Option for 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week or 26-week contract available with September start dates
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Self-scheduling model in place; manager will explain process during call
• Work across all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience; cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Must be competent in caring for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required for multidisciplinary team environment
• Must be competent in use of the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Epic experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT, and Virginia State License
• PALS and ACCS preferred
• Virginia license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date; must hold another state license to be eligible for temporary license
• Key skills include: NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Bubble CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nitric Oxide, Intubation Assist, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), and Neonatal Transports
