MRI Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

You will work as an MRI Technologist at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. This is a 3x12-hour shift position running for 89 days, beginning November 9, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,661.

Schedule

• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Monday: 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM
• No university holidays
• No on-call requirements

Initial Requirements

You must work full-time 40 hours per week for the first 2 weeks before transitioning to your solo shift schedule. Expect flexibility to work days and/or evenings during your orientation period.

Core Responsibilities

• Operate MRI machines efficiently and prepare patients for scanning procedures
• Perform all non-contrast exams, routine MSK, neuro, spine, and occasional body MRI studies
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging and ensure timely delivery of results
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Perform patient care tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• GE or Siemens MRI scanner experience mandatory
• Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• ARRT certification or similar organization preferred; you must be willing to obtain after starting if not already certified
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to stand for extended periods

You will coordinate closely with the diagnostic imaging team to deliver high-quality patient care and maintain the standards expected at this academic medical center.
