Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical Oncology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 91-day travel contract starting October 26, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,088.

Schedule and Expectations

• 3x12 night shift schedule (36 hours per week)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs

Patient Care

You will care for adult patients with medical oncology diagnoses, including solid tumors such as lung, breast, and pancreatic cancers. Patient ratios are 1:4–5 for general oncology and 1:3 for BMT on all shifts. Average patient stay is 3–5 days. You will provide post-treatment care for patients receiving chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Clinical Skills and Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts, trach care, and management of ports and central lines
• Access and manage ports, PICC lines, and implanted lines
• Administer blood and blood products
• Manage central line and infusion pump care
• Perform phlebotomy and feeding tube care and management
• Utilize CAD pumps and other specialized equipment

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• BSN preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG exam with competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Facility Details
