Telemetry RN Job in Wilmington, NC

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Telemetry unit. You will provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations with medical and surgical diagnoses on 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, working three days per week. This is a 91-day contract position with weekly pay of $2,027.

Shift and Scheduling

• 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Float assignments as needed
• Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team or Hurricane Team and required to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6 and perform telemetry-specific skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, heparin and IV insulin protocols, non-invasive airway management, PCA pump management, peripheral and central line care, wound care and wound vac management, and isolation precautions. You will use Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR communication frameworks within an interdisciplinary team that includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Charge experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Onboarding and Dress Code

You will receive 24 hours of orientation during week 1, with daily classes required. Navy scrubs are required on this unit.
