ED - Emergency Room

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with variable start times including 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM
• Night shift schedule with every other weekend requirement
• Expected to work some holidays
• No on-call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements within the unit
• May be asked to float throughout Region One facilities with advance notice
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• One year of minimum experience required; preference given to travelers who have completed 1-2 prior travel assignments
• Experience with behavioral health patients strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing common diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, psychosis, and behavioral health cases
• Experience with common drips including insulin, cardiac drips, sedation, and critical drips required
• Ability to perform lab draws required; phlebotomy available to assist when needed
• Triage experience preferred as travelers may be assigned to triage
• Travelers may be utilized in a charge nurse role, particularly on night shifts
• Charting performed using EPIC
• Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
• Orientation consists of one 12-hour shift with an experienced emergency department RN
• Driver's license required at time of submittal
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS
