Job Details:

• Work mid-shift hours from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation or to alternate campus
• Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Coordinate and provide high quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continuously reassess individualized patient plans of care
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Evaluate and update discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Accurately document care provided, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses
• Collect patient information and complete holistic ongoing assessments of patient status
• Determine and complete appropriate nursing actions to address physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative patient needs
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information
• Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures
• Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital and unit policies
• Functions consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit specific standards of practice
