ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour mid-shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Work holidays as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• No floating between units or sister facilities required
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Parking is provided at no cost
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Epic experience required; Epic charting system used
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Skills include triage, IV vasopressors, blood product administration, management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, chest tube management, care of ventilated patients, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG/ECG, splint application, and management of psychiatric holds among others
• Interdisciplinary support available from phlebotomy and radiology
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September
