Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:5 on all shifts
• Must work 8 shifts within a six-week period on weekends
• No on-call required
• Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Required certification: BLS
• Charting system: EPIC (Epic experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Required skills: MS/Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, Heparin, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Nasal Cannula, Tracheostomy care/management, Isolation Precautions/PPE
• Patient diagnoses include: Neurological patients, Neurosurgical patients, Post-surgical patients, Spine surgery patients, Overflow intermediate patients, Pituitary Surgical patients, Gammatile patients, Craniotomy patients, and Craniosurgical patients
• Special equipment: Ceiling lifts
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
