Join Cone Health - Wesley Long Community Hospital as a Registered Nurse on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit. This 26-week travel assignment offers you the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a supportive clinical environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary resources.

Assignment Details

  • 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
  • 26-week contract commitment
  • Weekly pay: $2,073.60
  • Start date: July 27, 2026

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Previous Charge RN experience required; you will work Charge RN shifts as needed
  • Travel experience required
  • Float required as needed across all facilities
  • Patient ratio: 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends

Clinical Skills and Competencies

  • Blood product administration, heparin, insulin, and PCA management
  • Peripheral line care, IV insertion and maintenance
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG analysis
  • BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Feeding tube care and wound care including wound vac management
  • PICC line management and oral suctioning
  • Colostomy/ileostomy care
  • IV insulin protocols and surgical drain management
  • Rapid response and code team participation

Required Certifications and Exams

  • BLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
  • Epic charting system experience required

Primary Patient Population

Med/Surg adults and geriatrics. The unit benefits from interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
