Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shift schedule
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may vary based on unit need
• Float required to like units or nearby facilities as needed
• Patient population includes medical, surgical, and cardiac patients requiring telemetry
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients per nurse
• 2 CNAs and a unit secretary on the floor all shifts; Charge RN is out of staffing
• Patients include adults and geriatrics
• Unit census of 22 beds
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Documentation system: EPIC - minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in unit required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC RN license
• Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, cardiac drip management without titration, management of dysrhythmias, nasal cannula, orthopedic trauma, PCA, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, pre and post cardiac cath, pre and post hemodialysis management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, remote telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response and code teams, and wound care and wound vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
