Opportunity:

RN - ICU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work straight night shifts with a schedule that includes weekends and holidays
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Care for a diverse patient population in a mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit with both floor-level and high-acuity step-down beds
• Work with multidisciplinary teams specializing in brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular, and epilepsy surgery
• Provide hemodynamic and neurological monitoring for complex patients in the 8-bed high-acuity step-down unit
• Experience with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, subdural drains, 3% NS, Cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clips, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management preferred
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• New York state RN license required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred (American Heart Association only)
