Med Surg RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 12-bed inpatient med/surg unit with oncology focus at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV. This is a 13-week travel contract with the possibility of extension.

Shift and Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 4x12 nights weekly with weekdays and every other weekend required
• Blocked schedule available

Patient Care Environment

• 12-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Med/surg census with oncology overflow
• Chemotherapy administration performed on unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6 patients per nurse
• Oncology experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience
• IV start skills required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current NIHSS certification
• ONS chemo/bio certification preferred
• WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

What to Know

• Burgundy and/or white scrubs required; not provided by facility
• Facility will only tolerate 2–3 call-offs per contract

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,592
• 13-week duration with start date July 27, 2026
