RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays with every other weekend required
• Contract options available for 36-hour or 48-hour per week schedules based on RN preference
• Overtime applicable after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
• Float required within scope to meet facility needs
• Patient population includes adults ages 18 and older who have undergone bone and joint reconstructive surgery, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma surgery, or sports injuries, with Med/Surg overflow
• Remote telemetry monitoring with off-unit station staffed by tech
• Patient ratios typically 1:4 with occasional flex to 1:5
• Unit operates under a team nursing model
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required with at least 1 year of in-specialty experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Required skills include: telemetry, IV start, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Argatroban, Amiodarone, Dopamine (renal perfusion only), CPMs, Orthopat, Constavac, Hemovac, Wound Vacs, and traction
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement, and conscious sedation preferred
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White
