Job Details:

• Charge RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes adolescents through geriatrics
• Required certification: BLS
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
• 38-bed Medical Surgical unit with remote telemetry and average daily census of 33
• Required systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Expected to perform own vital sign checks and blood glucose checks
• Skills required include Med/Surg, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed to other similar units
• No on-call requirements
• Every other weekend required unless specified otherwise
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• GA or Compact nursing license required
